Krembo Wings in the Community
One of Krembo Wing´s main goals is to contribute towards a more tolerant and inclusive society in Israel through our branches´ involvement in their local communities. This involvement shows the community who we are, what we stand for, and how wonderful our special members are and how they too can contribute to the community alongside their able-bodied peers.
On International Good Deeds Day every March, each of our branches take part in a project in their community. In 2015 for example, members from our Ashkelon branch visited a nursing home, planted a flower garden and enjoyed joint activities with the residents. The members of our Hadera branch painted houses in one of the inner-city neighborhoods of the city. The members of our Kiryat Shmona built benches from recycled materials to be donated to an elementary school.
We also have taken part in many community events and are honored that we are invited to do so. Our branches across the country participatein memorial ceremonies, holiday celebrations, municipal activities for International Disability Day, and more.
